Maths
At Orchard we aim to provide a creative Maths curriculum that encourages a sense of enjoyment and curiosity about the subject. Learners are given opportunities to become fluent in the fundamentals of mathematics through varied and frequent practice. Learners can reason, make conjectures and generalisations and can solve a variety of problems, including breaking problems done in to simpler steps and showing resilience in seeking solutions. We use the White Rose Schemes of Work to ensure full coverage of the curriculum and continuity between classes.
